Speaking at the Future Investment Initiative held at the King Abdul Aziz International Conference Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, President Ruto said “it is time to properly and fairly profile Africa’s investment potential”.
Ruto went on to term as “erroneous” the perception that Africa is “risky” for investment.
“It is time to properly and fairly profile Africa’s investment potential. The continent is not risky; that assessment is erroneous and is impeding investment and growth across,” said Kenya’s President.
He added: “Africa has incomparable resources and potential — especially in renewable energy and human capital. Any investment without Africa on the table is deficient.”
At the forum, Ruto presented the “Africa’s Climate-Positive Growth Agenda” where he highlighted progress in economic growth, regional cooperation and democratisation.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia has promised to use Kenya as a platform to broaden its forays into Africa.
Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed Bin Salman said Kenya is a pillar of stability and growth in Africa.
“We have to pay closer attention to it; it is a country with a future,” he said at the King Abdul Aziz International Conference Centre in Riyadh where he held talks with President William Ruto.
