A Ugandan man claiming to be a witchdoctor has been charged with fraudulently obtaining Sh.1.3 million from an epileptic patient by alleging that he could help treat the disease.
Kenneth Nkolwa appeared before Milimani Chief Magistrate Lukas Onyina and denied the charges.
The court heard that by means of fraudulent tricks, being a witchdoctor, Nkolwa induced Deka Said Omar to pay Sh 1.3 million by falsely pretending that he was in a position to treat and heal an epileptic condition of Omar’s nephew, Mohamed Jamal.
It is alleged that he committed the offence on diverse dates between 29th May 2023 and 28 July 2023 at Stima Plaza in Ngara area, Westlands.
The Ugandan was also accused of being in Kenya illegally.
