Police Arrest 5 Suspects in possession of smashed vehicles Parts in Eldoret

Police in Eldoret have arrested five suspected in possession of smashed vehicle parts and electronic goods in Kapsoya Estate.
According to Uasin Gishu County Commander Benjamin Mwanthi they are suspected to have been stolen from various places in Eldoret town and its environs.

“We have arrested 5 suspects in possession of smashed vehicles and electronics, other vehicle parts of Premio, and Probox vehicles were also found in the process,” said the Uasin Gishu County Commander boss.

The recovered goods together with vehicle parts have been taken to Kapsoya police station.

“Our officers were also able to search the house of one of the suspects and they got 8 TVs, a laptop, 13 phones, equipment for mashing the vehicles, and log books among others,” added the County.

The Uasin Gishu County Commander further applauded the police, Nyumba kumi, Chiefs, and village elders for ensuring that illicit brew is a thing of the past.

“In Uasin Gishu illicit brews have remained very minimal and soon we will not have it in the county. Members of the Publ; ic should also help us to ensure that Uasin Gishu is free from Ilicit brew and burglary,” Mwanthi said.


Daniel Muleli County Criminal Investigation Officer said they
have started investigations to establish those involved.

“We are going to use every beat of evidence so that we can identify the vehicles and owners. This looks like it’s a big syndicate that has been operating for long,” he said.

“We want to request the members of the public who have lost their items to come and identify their goods at Kapsoya Police Station,” he added

Police also recovered police uniforms, passports, and academic certificates among other documents from the suspects.

The suspects will be arraigned in court on Thursday.
