The amount belonged to Kiambu Genuine Parts Limited owned by Farhat Safdarali Moloo.

The court heard that the money came into the accused possession by his employment.

Alex Kadima the defense counsel called on the court to grant favourable bond terms and wished that they be issued with all documents and witness statements that the prosecution intends to rely on while prosecuting the matter.

The prosecutor did not object to the accused being issued a bond but asked the court to take into account the charges that the accused person is facing and the value of the subject matter.

The magistrate however released the accused person on a Sh1 million cash bail or a surety of a similar amount pending the hearing of the case on 26th February 2024.
