CS Machogu Dismisses Reports On School Fees Increment

Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu has allayed fears that there will be school fees increments for secondary schools. This follows reports indicating that there is a proposal to increase school fees for the year 2023/2024 which attracted censures from leaders. Dismissing the report on Monday, CS Machogu said that the school fees will remain the same until further notice. "Also to assure Kenyans that your government is not increasing the fees when they go to Form One and all of them who are here are going to be placed in Form One," said Machogu. KPSEA and KCPE Exams Kick Off

Candidates in class eight and those in grade six will today begin their Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) examinations. The exercise has already kicked off countrywide as Education ministry officials and exam supervisors availed themselves at exam collection centres this morning.
