President Ruto Prays For KCPE, KPSEA Candidates As He Oversees Exams Kick-Off

President William Ruto has encouraged all students undertaking their Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) examinations to do their best.

Speaking at Kikuyu Township Primary School in Kiambu County on Monday, President Ruto assured the students that the government has created a conducive environment to ensure a seamless transition into the next education levels.

“I see you are ready,” he said as he oversaw the exams kick-off.

“To all candidates who are doing this exam today, I wish you all the best and success in these exams. As you go into the exam room know that you are not alone so be confident, do your best, and carry out the exams knowing that we have an opportunity for every child to progress their education into the next level.”

Before praying for the candidates, the Head of State urged them to put their best foot forward as they undertake the national examinations.

“I want you to make us proud, you are the wealth of our nation, the future of our country and we have placed education as our priority. You are the biggest asset,” he said.

Ruto was flanked by Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu and Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung’wah among other officials.

Over 1.4 million candidates will be undertaking their KCPE exams and about 1.2 million will be undertaking the KPSEA exams.
